Cash plan schemes. Check your cash plan scheme out, many now support Hypnotherapy and psychotherapies and you can claim a portion of your fee back. I will provide a printed receipt with my CNHC number. (Westfields, Healthshield. Please check your policy)

I will be able to advise on the approximate number of sessions required. Everyone’s journey, symptoms and results are unique.

A standard  session lasts up to 60 minutes and will involve a mix of approaches such as  hypnosis, BWRT, and other therapies.  The fee paid is for my time and expertise – results can vary and no therapist can guarantee results.  My therapies are not a replacement for medical treatment or psychiatric services.

If your reason for therapy could be related to a physical health concern, then I will ask you to see your GP first.  In some circumstances, I may wish to write to your GP to let him/her know of my involvement, but I will ask for your permission first.

Confidentiality is paramount and will be maintained in all but the most exceptional circumstances.

Payment is required in advance, via invoice. BACS and cash by arrangement.

Emergencies and illness happen, though it would be appreciated where possible for you to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to change your appointment, this also enables me to update the venue.  Repeated cancellations will result in a charge or a forfeited appointment.

What will I experience during hypnosis?
You will feel very relaxed and you will be able to hear me and respond throughout the session. Some people experience sensations on their skin or tingling in their hands or feet, while others see different colours or light. On awakening, most clients feel relaxed yet motivated.
Will I be asleep/unconscious during hypnosis?
No. You will be very relaxed, but you will be able to hear me and respond throughout the session. You can come out of hypnosis any time you want to.
Can I get stuck in a trance?
No. You will be able to come out of hypnosis any time you want to.
Can I be made to do things against my will or reveal secrets that I don’t want to?
No. You will always be in control and aware of what is happening. Your subconscious mind will always protect you and will prevent you from doing or saying anything that is inappropriate. You can open your eyes and end the session at any time. Clinical hypnosis is very different to stage hypnosis that you may see on the TV.
How many sessions will I need?
This all depends on you and the issue you are looking to resolve. If you are clear about what you want and have defined goals in your head, you may need fewer sessions. Some problems, such as quitting smoking, can be resolved in a single session; most usually require two or three meetings. Problems such as low self-esteem or anxiety may be more complex and can take several sessions to resolve. With each hypnotherapy sessions in Congleton or Stoke, my aim is to help you improve your situation and quality of life as rapidly as possible.
You are a member of the APHP and NCH. What is the Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and the National Council for Hypnotherapy?
The associations are professional bodies which hold registers of independent practitioners. Both associations ensure that all therapists are trained and uphold the Code of Ethics, while also providing supervision, on-going training and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
You are a member of the CNHC. What is the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council?
CNHC provides a voluntary register of complementary therapists in the UK to protect the public. The register has been approved as an Accredited Voluntary Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. CNHC-registered complementary therapy practitioners demonstrate to members of the public and other healthcare providers that they conform to national standards of practice in their work. The Accredited Voluntary Register provides additional assurance that CNHC registrants meet the standards of patient safety and service quality. My registration number is 00046-L14.
