Terms

A standard session lasts up to 60 minutes and will involve a mix of approaches such as hypnosis, BWRT, and other therapies. The first session is a longer appointment and may be split into two sessions with the first held via Zoom due to COVID-19

The fee paid is for my time and expertise – results can vary and no therapist can guarantee results.  My therapies are not a replacement for medical treatment or psychiatric services.

If your reason for therapy could be related to a physical health concern, then I will ask you to see your GP first.  In some circumstances, I may wish to write to your GP to let him/her know of my involvement, but I will ask for your permission first.

Confidentiality is paramount and will be maintained in all but the most exceptional circumstances.

Payment is required in advance, via invoice. BACS and cash by arrangement.

Emergencies and illness happen, though it would be appreciated where possible for you to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to change your appointment, this also enables me to update the venue.  Repeated cancellations will result in a charge or a forfeited appointment.

What will I experience during hypnosis?
You will feel very relaxed and you will be able to hear me and respond throughout the session. Some people experience sensations on their skin or tingling in their hands or feet, while others see different colours or light. On awakening, most clients feel relaxed yet motivated.
Will I be asleep/unconscious during hypnosis?
No. You will be very relaxed, but you will be able to hear me and respond throughout the session. You can come out of hypnosis any time you want to.
Can I get stuck in a trance?
No. You will be able to come out of hypnosis any time you want to.
Can I be made to do things against my will or reveal secrets that I don’t want to?
No. You will always be in control and aware of what is happening. Your subconscious mind will always protect you and will prevent you from doing or saying anything that is inappropriate. You can open your eyes and end the session at any time. Clinical hypnosis is very different to stage hypnosis that you may see on the TV.
How many sessions will I need?

The Reset you mind, reset your life program, aims to resolve your issue, and create lasting change over the follow on sessions.

If you have more than one issue you may require further support.

You are a member of the APHP and NCH. What is the Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and the National Council for Hypnotherapy?
